When can I start repairs?

Normally, you must give the insurance company reasonable opportunity to inspect your property and the damages being claimed before effecting repairs.  Notifying them in writing of the date the repairs will begin is a good practice.  However, this is not necessarily the case in the event of water and/or mold damage. (See: “Water Damage” and/or “Mold Damage” under “How long does it take to complete the work and how much does it cost?”)  But in any event, though this will also be done by ORC Services, it is strongly recommended that you photograph and document all damages before any repairs are made.  This is essential to prove the extent of damage to your insurance company.
